Where to Eat in Vegas (Off the Strip)

From sushi to tacos to desserts, here are some off-strip picks

The Momofuku Las Vegas Team

We rarely eat on the strip when we go out. There are some great restaurants―and we love our home at the Cosmopolitan―but it’s nice to get away. We took a team poll for some of our favorite spots. Here are a few of the places we go when we’re off the clock.

Ryan Schuler, General Manager
KABUTO | 5040 W Spring Mountain Rd.

The best edomae-style sushi experience you can find in Las Vegas, and the exact opposite of the all-you-can-eat spots on every corner.

Michael Rubenstein, Chef de Cuisine
CHENGDU TASTE | 3950 Schiff Dr.

Incredibly delicious Sichuan food where you least expect it―or maybe exactly where you expect it―in the back of a strip mall.

Victor Ratliff, Assistant General Manager
TACOS EL GORDO | Multiple Locations

This hole-in-the-wall taco shop is technically on the Strip, but the food is so good it’s always worth it. Go with good company because you’re going to wait.

Ricalynn Marinas, Front of House Manager
SWEETS RAKU | 5030 Spring Mountain Rd.

This place is a must for anyone who loves dessert. The menu changes based on season and everything is prepared to order―and the presentation is always out of this world.
